As someone who has experienced very tangible paranormal encounters and spiritual warfare, Halloween has always been a bit of a sketchy subject for me. I’ve seen real demons. I’ve ministered to people who have been stuck in true darkness. I’ve even found blood altars where black cats have been sacrificed in the middle of a pentagram drawn on the ground (as a kid). Point being… Evil is real, and there’s nothing anyone can say to convince me that its “not that big of a deal”.
At the same time, I am also very aware of the power that I hold as a messenger of light. I know that fear of demons accomplishes nothing but giving them more authority over my mind. I know that the only way for love to win is for those who carry the power of God to walk into the dark places and turn the light on.
In this episode, we talk with Elaine and Cody Johnston about their love of Halloween, and what viewpoints they hold about the overall energy of the holiday. We discuss their experiences with the demonic and other forms of darkness, and why those experiences haven’t kept them from enjoying the Halloween season.
I really enjoyed getting to talk with the Johnstons about this holiday, and I hope you get as much out of their perspectives as I did.
